Day 01: Marrakech – Imlil – Tizi n´Tamatert – Tacheddirt
We will begin our trip in Marrakech with a short drive of just one hour to reach Imlil, the main starting point for hiking enthusiasts in the High Atlas, at an altitude of 1,740 meters. At this place, we will meet our team of experienced mule drivers to begin our exciting adventure.
Our first stage will take us to ascend for two hours until we reach the impressive Tizi n'Tamaert pass, located 2,279 meters above sea level. We will continue ascending gently, delighting in the panoramic views, until we reach the remarkable village of Tacheddirt, anchored at an altitude of 2,291 meters. Here, under the starry mantle of the High Atlas, we will spend an unforgettable night.
Day 02: Tacheddirt – Labassene – Timichchi
We will begin our second day with a three-hour ascent, leading us to an altitude of 3,200 meters. From this position, we will begin a gradual descent that will take us two hours until we reach Iabassene, a perfect place for a well-deserved lunch. Afterwards, we will continue our march along the valley until we reach the charming town of Timichchi. Here, in a typical Berber home, we will experience the authenticity of this ancient culture and spend the night.
Day 03: Timichchi – Tiwerdiwe – Tadrart – Aguerd n´Ourtane – Setti Fatma
After enjoying a comforting breakfast, we will embark on a 4-5 hour route eastwards, following the picturesque Ourika Valley. Along this valley dotted with fields of corn and walnut trees, and crossed by numerous streams descending the slopes, we will enter the villages of Anfli and Tadrart before reaching the renowned Berber village of Setti Fatma. Here, surrounded by ancient walnut trees, willows and lush waterfalls, we will pause for lunch.
Once satisfied, we will put an end to our journey and we will be transported back to Marrakech in the afternoon, thus marking the closure of our services.
